The fabulous Potwalloping Festival dates back to the 1800's, where local people ventured down to Westward Ho! Beach to throw back pebbles that had fallen from the ridge during the winter storms

       It is held annually in the estuary village of Appledore on the banks of the River Torridge in North Devon.2008 is their eleventh year and the theme is 'Earth'
