Walking/CyclingThe Tarka Trail for walking or cycling enthusiasts is a minute walk away from Rufus Stone. So try the Tarka Cycle Trail, Bideford to Great Torrington route which is 6 miles/10km. This section is entirely traffice free and takes you up the Torridge estuary.
Alternatively try Bideford to Barnstaple which is 9 miles /14km and again is entirely traffic free. This route has sculptures and a superb view across the mouth of the Taw
